Motor insurance is insurance purchased for cars, trucks, and other vehicles. Its primary use is to provide protection against losses incurred as a result of traffic accidents, theft and against liability that could be incurred in an accident.

Scope of Cover:  
Section 1
Loss or Damage to the Motor Vehicle and its accessories and spare parts whilst thereon:-

• By accidental collision or overturning consequent upon mechanical breakdown or consequent upon wear and tear
• By fire external explosion self-ignition or lightning or burglary housebreaking or theft
• By malicious act
• Whilst in transit (including the processes of loading and unloading incidental to such transit) by road rail inland waterway lift or elevator or by sea between any ports in the geographical area.

Section 2
Liability to Third Parties in the event of accidental loss or injury caused by or arising out of the use of the motor vehicle in respect of:-

• Death of or bodily injury to any person except where such death or injury arises out of and in the course of employment of such persons by the insured.
• Damage to property other than property belonging to the insured or held in trust by or in custody or control of the insured.
